Two sleep together every night has fallen on the planet Kepler-16b, say researchers in the journal Science on Thursday.

Events like science fiction was supervised researchers who do the ship pengamtan NASA's Kepler. Scientists have discovered a planet orbiting two stars - for the first time such a phenomenon confirmed its existence.

"It 'really amazing Kepler measures" says Alan Boss of the Carnegie Institution of Science, along with the author of the study report. "It 'really interesting to have a planet orbiting two stars," he said.

The stars of two in two to two mutually Sun rotation - are already known and so far astronomers suspect that there are planets in orbit. Kepler's observation is the first confirmation of this fact.

Gravity of double stars, even a relatively small, as the stars in the center of this system of astrology, a very different severity of the star, the boss said by telephone.

Kepler's mission is to explore the Milky Way about the existence of planets in "habitable zones" are not too close or far from the stars that orbit.

The spacecraft will make its stars found in the periodic dimming of light, which means that a celestial body that orbits - Planet - moving between the star and Kepler tool. This is known all over the planet.

What is surprising is that the stars eclipse each other when the star is blocking the other. The eclipse shows that a third planet to be part of the system.

Because of his son, both smaller and cooler than our sun, Kepler planet-16b is very cold, with surface temperatures around minus 73 degrees Celsius at least 101, said the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in a statement. Josh Carter is the author of the Institute in collaboration with the research.

Kepler 16b is a gaseous planet cool with the same size and mass of the planet Jupiter, which orbits the Sun every 229 days at a distance of 104,600,000 km. This distance is approximately equal to the orbit of Venus. Earth orbits the Sun every 365 days at a distance of approximately 149.7 million kilometers.

The newly detected planet is 200 light years from Earth and it is estimated that there are no life forms there. A light year is the distance that light in one year, about 10 trillion km.
